Cloud Inspector FAQ

Cloud audit, FinOps, security and compliance — the essentials. Cloud audit · FinOps · Security · Resources

What is a multi-cloud audit?

A normalised analysis across providers (Azure, AWS, GCP, OVHcloud, Scaleway…) with the same controls: waste, security exposures and resilience gaps. One report to prioritise, whatever the cloud.

Does Cloud Inspector change my infrastructure?

No. Connections are read-only. If write access is detected, the audit stops. Nothing is created, changed or deleted.

Who is the product for?

Any organisation that wants clearer cloud cost and risk without a huge FinOps or security team: SMEs, mid-market, subsidiaries, CIOs, IT managers and MSP partners.

How does Cloud Inspector help with FinOps?

It finds idle machines, orphan disks, unused public IPs and potentially oversized resources, then prioritises actions to cut the bill — without jargon.

Is data hosted in Europe?

Yes. The product is designed for EU hosting, with data minimisation, traceability and GDPR export / erasure planned before production.

Which clouds are supported at launch?

Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, OVHcloud and Scaleway, with the same control grid. More European clouds will follow.

How is this different from a CSPM or hyperscaler tool?

Less cockpit, more clarity. A report that answers what, why, priority and action — built to decide, not drown you in alerts.

Does it replace an ISO or NIS2 certification?

No. Cloud Inspector issues no certification. It provides technical help (gaps, evidence, action plan) useful in a compliance journey, without replacing it.

When can I try it?

The product is under construction. Join early access and we will notify you when it opens.

Does Cloud Inspector store the content of my cloud resources?

The product is designed to collect only metadata needed for controls (inventory, configuration, signals). No bulk copy of your business data.

Can I use Cloud Inspector as an MSP?

Yes. The positioning includes partners managing many clients: same grid, clear reports, read-only.

Do you offer an API or export?

Exports / PDF are planned from MVP. An evolution dashboard and read-only API are on the product backlog after findings stabilise.

How is this different from a homemade Excel report?

The grid is normalised, repeatable and multi-cloud. Less subjectivity, more month-over-month comparability.
